WTT Championship Weekend returns to Sacramento

<div align=center><strong><font face=Verdana>World TeamTennis Championship Weekend returns to <st1:city w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">Sacramento</st1:place></st1:city>, July 24-27 </font></strong></div> <p align=center><span style="FONT-FAMILY: Verdana"><em><strong>Event to be held at Westfield Galleria at Roseville</strong></em></span><span style="FONT-SIZE: 10pt"> </span></p> <p style="FONT-SIZE: 10pt; FONT-FAMILY: Verdana">NEW YORK, N.Y. (December 12, 2007) – The 2008 World TeamTennis Championship Weekend presented by Advanta returns to the Sacramento area, July 24-27, on the home court of the defending WTT Champions, the Sacramento Capitals.  WTT officials today announced they had awarded the event to the Capitals for the 5th time in League history.</p> <p style="FONT-SIZE: 10pt; FONT-FAMILY: Verdana"><st1:city w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">Sacramento</st1:place></st1:city> is the winningest team in WTT history, having defeated the New York Buzz last summer to win their sixth championship. They will have an opportunity to repeat with a guaranteed spot in the Championship Weekend when five teams battle for the King Trophy at Allstate Stadium at the Westfield Galleria at <st1:city w:st="on">Roseville</st1:city> in <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:city w:st="on">Roseville</st1:city>, <st1:state w:st="on">Calif.</st1:state></st1:place> </p> <p style="FONT-SIZE: 10pt; FONT-FAMILY: Verdana">The top two teams from both the Eastern and Western Conferences automatically qualify for the playoffs, along with a wild card team. The wild card will either be the host team or the team with the fifth best overall League record (if the host team qualifies as one of the top two teams from their conference).</p> <p style="FONT-SIZE: 10pt; FONT-FAMILY: Verdana">Conference champions will be decided during the regular season. The five teams advancing to the Championship Weekend will be seeded based on their regular season record, regardless of conference. The top three teams automatically advance to the semifinals while the No. 4 seed and the wild card team face off in a wild card playoff match. The winner of the wild card match advances to the semifinals to face the No. 1 seed.</p> <p style="FONT-SIZE: 10pt; FONT-FAMILY: Verdana">The WTT Finals are set for Sunday, July 27, however the final schedule for Championship Weekend will be determined at a later date. Depending on team travel, TV schedules and weather, action will either begin on Thursday, July 24 or Friday, July 25. If there is a Friday start, two semifinal matches will be played on Saturday.</p> <p style="FONT-SIZE: 10pt; FONT-FAMILY: Verdana">“The Capitals hosted one of the most successful championships in WTT history last year,” said WTT CEO/Commissioner Ilana Kloss. “The Caps fans are great supporters not only of their team but of World TeamTennis. Their enthusiasm and support for all the teams made it one of the most exciting finals ever.”</p> <p style="FONT-SIZE: 10pt; FONT-FAMILY: Verdana">“Last year was a dream come true for our team and fans, winning the title here at home,” said Sacramento Capitals co-owner <st1:personname w:st="on">Lonnie Nielson</st1:personname>. “Our fans loved having the finals here so we’re thrilled to be able to bring it back. Caps fans deserve another championship and we’re going to give it to them.”</p> <p style="FONT-SIZE: 10pt; FONT-FAMILY: Verdana">Nielson noted that tickets for Championship Weekend are included in their season tickets packages, which are currently on sale. Individual tickets for WTT Championship Weekend matches won’t go on sale until late May or early June. Call the Capitals ticket office at 916-638-4001 for more information.</p> <p style="FONT-SIZE: 10pt; FONT-FAMILY: Verdana">Team lineups will be finalized at the WTT Player Draft on April 1, 2008, in <st1:city w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">Miami</st1:place></st1:city><br clear=all></p> <p style="FONT-SIZE: 10pt; FONT-FAMILY: Verdana">About WTT:</p> <p style="FONT-SIZE: 10pt; FONT-FAMILY: Verdana">The 2008 season will be the 33rd year of World TeamTennis action.  WTT is well known for introducing innovative elements to tennis including instant replay, co-ed format, cumulative and no-ad scoring, on-court coaching, Supertiebreakers, multi-colored courts and player names on back of their shirts. </p> <p style="FONT-SIZE: 10pt; FONT-FAMILY: Verdana">The unique gender-balanced team concept for WTT was created in the early 70s by League co-founders Billie Jean King and Larry King. The format used for a WTT Pro League match features teams comprised of two men, two women and a coach.
